LiquidNano™ is a coatings company formed in 2016 to explore the benefits that Silicon Dioxide (SiO2Liquid Glass and other nanotechnology processes can provide. Offering a world class portfolio of coatings, for almost all surfaces, including the wide range of surfaces found in mobility, automotive, marine, apparel, healthcare, industrial, sporting, agricultural, aviation, military, and domestic environments. designed engineered and formulated in Germany, we utilise the most advanced nanotechnology available today to deliver optimal invisible protection, from easy durable "wipe-on" coatings to ultra-tough military grade coatings.

LiquidNano™ products are sold B2B, B2C or B2B2C worldwide and are available LiquidNano™ branded or ODM branded.

What is Nanotechnology?

Nanotechnology takes many forms and involves developments in many different areas.  In all instances, though, it’s concerned with the creation of nano layers, nano particles or nano “devices”.  The word ‘nano’ comes from the Greek word meaning “dwarf” or small and we now use the term in a scientific sense. Nanotechnology is the understanding and control of matter at dimensions at nanoscale (between approximately 1 and 100 nanometres).
When working at a nanoscale, matter such as gases, liquids, and solids can exhibit unusual physical, chemical, and biological properties. Some nanostructured materials are stronger compared to other forms or sizes of the same material. They may become more chemically reactive, reflect light better and even change colour, an example of this is gold particles, which at a nanoscale can appear red or purple.

What is Liquid Glass?

The Liquid Glass that we use in most of our products is an exceptional, truly remarkablemulti award winning technology, with which allows us to create an ultra-thin super durable coating.

Liquid Glass is derived from Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) glass particles extracted from pure Quartz Sand, that are suspended in an alcohol solution. The particles are at the Nano scale (109) meaning they are 500 times smaller than a human hair. These particles are completely inert, food safe and eco-friendly.
The Liquid Glass layer adheres to the substrate, through the Van Der Waals effect. This means that quantum forces, draw the Liquid Glass molecules to the surface layer to create a superior coating. In molecular physics, the Van Der Waals force is a distance-dependent interaction, between atoms or molecules, which in turn creates an incredibly strong bond between the nano glass particles and the surface. The coating is invisible and doesn’t alter the appearance, texture or function of the treated surface.

When viewed under an electron microscope a mobile screen is not a smooth surface. It is full of valleys and ridges which can become points of weakness when exposed to external stress such as a drop or abrasion.

By coating the device screen with a layer of LiquidNano™ these valleys and ridges are filled in and the glass becomes much stronger and smoother.
When the Liquid Glass Coating is wiped onto a mobile device screen and the carrier evaporates, then the glass particles remaining on the coated surface embed themselves into the screen at the Nano level delivering a highly protective and extremely durable new glass layer.
